MIRA COSTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
MiraCosta College is a fully-accredited public California community college serving the coastal North San Diego County cities of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Cardiff, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Del Mar and Carmel Valley. MiraCosta is comprised of three campuses:

  • The Oceanside Campus, located at 1 Barnard Drive in Oceanside. This 121-acre hilltop campus opened in 1964 and offers panoramic views of the coast and mountains. This location is the main campus of the college and offers the full array of credit classes and programs, as well as many noncredit and Community Services classes.
  • The San Elijo Campus, located at 3333 Manchester Avenue in Cardiff. This 42-acre campus opened in 1989 and faces the San Elijo Lagoon. This campus offers a general education credit program and a broad range of noncredit, fee-based Community Services classes.
  • The Community Learning Center, located at 1831 Mission Avenue in Oceanside. This campus hosts a wide variety of noncredit programs, including English as a second language, adult high school diploma and basic adult education classes. Also housed at this location is the Small Business Development Center, which provides services to meet the needs of entrepreneurs throughout North San Diego County.

Fall credit classes start August 25, late-start classes begin the week of September 8. Students can work toward an associate degree or prepare to transfer to a four-year university. MiraCosta has transfer agreements with most University of California (UC) campuses and the California State University (CSU) system also assigns high priority to California community college graduates, which makes getting into the university you want that much easier.

MiraCosta also offers many certificates in vocational areas such as auto tech, biotech, business, child development, computer science, cosmetology, drafting, horticulture, hospitality, music technology, nursing, real estate and more! Many of these certificates can be completed in two years or less—quickly getting you started on your way to a great career.

MiraCosta College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. MiraCosta’s classes are fully transferable. SAN DIEGUITO ADULT SCHOOL
Our mission is to develop a community of life-long learners, creative thinkers, and responsible individuals by providing innovative, quality educational programs in a safe, supportive environment.

San Dieguito Adult School has more students than any other school within the San Dieguito Union High District. Our classes are held at schools within the district from La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad to Canyon Crest High School in the Carmel Valley area. In addition to classes at the school sites, classes and workshops are offered at more than 20 other locations including parks and community centers.

SDAS has five sessions a year: summer, fall, winter, winter/spring, and spring; our FALL 2008 session will begin September 2nd. We offer a wide range of classes and workshops in art, business, computers, fitness, home arts, language, music, personal development, recreation.

SDAS offers special low-cost classes for older adults including art, ceramics, bird watching, life story writing, fitness, and nature walks and water exercise.

SDAS’s popular Parent Participation Pre-School program offers the parents of three and four year olds a unique opportunity to gain information regarding parenting skills and early childhood development by actively participating in their child’s preschool experience.

SDAS offers English as a Second Language classes for individuals who wish to learn or improve their English, and offers an independent study program for students who want to earn a High School Diploma or take the GED test. These programs are offered at no charge.

COLEMAN COLLEGE

Coleman College celebrates its 45th anniversary in November 2008, with over 40,000 successful graduates working in the industry.
